Virtualbox Guest and Host OS on different subnets

Hi Jay,

I installed a debian based linux distro in a virtualbox on an iMac. The private IP of iMac is in the subnet range of 192.168.. where as the guest OS in the virtualbox gets an IP as 10.0... How do I make sure that the guest OS also gets the same IP range as the host OS? I tried pretty much all network options in virtualbox settings (NAT, Bridged, Internal etc).

If you set the guest VM to bridged mode in the network settings, it should fix your issue.

I am positive that I have already tried that, but will retry and revert back.

Thanks, now my virtual machine’s private IP is 192.168.1.125.
