Secure Boot Question

I have a DisplayLink Dock which was supplied by employer which is part of my home office setup, for context I work from home full time. In the past I have used either Linux Mint or Ubuntu on my personal laptop as they both allow be to install the DisplayLink driver and keep Secure Boot enabled but to use Fedora I have to disable secure boot to allow me to use the DisplayLink driver.

Is there a compelling reason to have Secure Boot enabled on my laptop? I do take it out to coffee shops etc but I have full disk encryption set up and I don’t install random software or run random scripts of the internet.

As far as I can see from 10 minutes google search:

It depends on your needs, I don’t use secure boot because I need to hibernate my laptops.
