Yes, chat.pop-os.org is back. I always knew it would be temporary loss of service. I was looking back on 14 Jan as I wanted to see if the 22.04 –> 24.04+cosmic upgrade was available yet (its not).
I have tried to run Canva’s free Affiniti Studio with wine on Linux, as an alternative to Photoshop. There are plenty of articles about it in circulation. After some hours of failure I discovered the Pop!_OS 22.04 glibc version 2.35 is too old and incompatible. You can’t simply upgrade glibc - its tightly tied into the kernel it seems. Upgrading the kernel is the route to a newer glibc version.
