Hello to all on the forum. As a newbie on linux mint 20.1 I need some assistance to install Nordvpn using
the terminal to open it and set it up.

Did you follow NordVPN’s guide?
I don’t think I could do a better job of explaining it?
I do it by going to Get the Best VPN Server List for Your Location in 2021 | NordVPN pick the ovpn file (for your vpn location) and go to network system settings then choose import a vpn configuration, select the downloaded file, the the usual username and password.
You are sorely mistaken sir. You need to install 2 packages first.
sudo apt install openvpn network-manager-openvpn
Nordvpn has a Linux app which works with the packages you mentioned.
But they also have ovpn files for all their locations which you can download and use in NetworkManager.
These are 2 different ways of using Nordvpn.
