I love POP!_OS but it doesn’t have some software that I use, but Windows does. My question is it better to duel boot POP!_OS and Win10 or run Win10 in QEMU-KVM?
Thanks

Welcome to the forum!
It depends. Depending on the rig you have, the software’s requirements and the DRM limitations, you might need to dual boot.
If your current setup allows you to run a Windows VM, I’d say to install virt-manager and set up the VM. If your software isn’t running inside a VM, or if you are doing audio work (which tends to not work, unless you pass it a USB audio output), or things that require GPU acceleration, then dual boot. I can go more in-depth, but I don’t want to make this too long.
Thank you so much for your response. I know my system can run VMs but still not sure about Ureal Engine. I think you’re right about needing to dual boot. But I had to ask before reloading both systems.
Thanks
You might require to dual boot for something like unreal engine, just because the virtio gpu cannot really handle the gpu acceleration, unless you passthrough a physical GPU to the VM.
I kinda thought so… I am new with Linux so I had to ask.
