I can confirm that this combo works like a charm.
There are only two internal devices that don’t work.
These are the SmartCard reader and the fingerprint reader. It would be fantastic to have these devices working under linux for authentication etc.

Ubuntu has recently enabled fingerprint reading in Ubuntu, and I do believe those changes are going to be backported to earlier versions (which means Mint might be able to benefit). It might’ve already been backported, so it may be worth a shot to see if Ubuntu’s implementation works.
