Hello Everyone, New here and mostly new to Linux. I had setup a system in the past on dual boot but didn’t end up using it. Now except for my work computer which I use for work only I’m now on Linux exclusively for personal. If I’m being honest I miss word and excel but to be fair I haven’t given libre a fair shot or I guess only office is another option. Anyway just wanted to say Hi!!!
Hi!
Linux rocks! Libre also rocks!
Free Office is another one to check out. I use their SoftMaker for editing PDFs.
Welcome!
If you miss the excel and word look n feel try WPS office, which is very Microsoft like. However, be aware of it’s china origins.
Or… I use Edge browser on Linux for it’s webapp feature so I can add office365 apps like outlook and teams as an app. Word and excel don’t behave well however as opening a file from OneDrive will start a web browser word or Excel session, not a web app session.
Don’t tell anyone in the Linux world if you use Edge though. It’s heresy.
Hi,
Welcome aboard! Linux is indeed an adventure.
I think when you finally start using Libre-office, you’ll find it to be a good addition to your tool kit.

Im loking the switch and disconnext from most of the windows ecosystems. Google too for that matter. Now if there were ggod equivalannt domain level services. That arent google or MS
