# Introduction in this forum

Hi,

This is my first post here in this forum, so let me introduce myself. My name is Niki, I’m an Austrian IT consultant living in South France, and a long-time Linux user since Slackware 7.1 back in 2001.

I teach Open Source related stuff like Linux, Git, Docker, Ansible etc. at our local university, and I also work as a Linux trainer for some companies here in France. So far I published five books about Linux here in France under the pen name “Kiki Novak” (an awkward anagram of my real name). I’m often [thinking out loud](https://blog.microlinux.fr) on my company’s tech blog. Last but not least, I’ve been working for the Linux Professional Institute’s documentation project since 2020.

When I’m not sitting in front of the computer, I enjoy reading books or going on hikes or climbing trips.

I decided to join this forum because I really like Jay’s videos on Youtube. Recently I’ve learned some nifty tricks with `ansible-pull`, so I thought I’d come here to ask the odd question.
