Just an fyi. If anyone wants to install Debian on UTM, this website has some great directions: [https://blog.renewelches.com/2026/02/19/debian13-utm-apple-silicon/](https://blog.renewelches.com/2026/02/19/debian13-utm-apple-silicon/)

Just remember to remove the .iso image once you’re done installing Debian. Otherwise, each time you open UTM and run Debian, the system will try to re-install Debian. Removing the .iso image lets you boot into Debian normally.
